Day 2 in Queenstown
We started the day at the bike shop. Elise had ordered a smaller front chain ring, to better match the hill climbing of her other gravel bike. I had ordered the parts required to fit the front racks on my forks. We got both done and headed back to the bakery.
Well our sleeping pad is officially dead. We’ve been finding holes at the seam welds, and it’s got to the point where it is not fixable. We’re warrantying it, but this means finding a double person sleeping pad…not a common site, even in the US. Elise found the only one in the city. We tried every single outdoor goods shop in the city, and there was only one. It isn’t as good as the one it’s replacing, but it isn’t full of holes either.
We explored Queenstown a bit, picked up groceries, and headed back to our holiday park. Queenstown was very touristy, so we were excited to be going up north!
