Walter Peak to Queenstown
We caught the staff ferry at 8am to Queenstown. There was no one on the ferry but us! It was clearly an old ferry not meant for tourists, but a lot of fun.
We then cycled to Frankton to the holiday park we were staying. We dropped off our bags and the cycled to a nearby bakery, that was surprisingly difficult to find. We then started exploring the Queenstown trails!
The New Zealand biking trail rating system is intense. A lot of the trails we did were “level 3” intermediate, and boy were they hilly. They were beautiful and a huge amount of fun. We went through an ancient tunnel and along a cliff-side. All amazing.
We picked up groceries near our holiday park and called it a night.
