After learning that my rain jacket didn’t work, we went into town to get Tech Wash and Wash in water repellent. We then did roughly a million loads of laundry.

In the afternoon we cycled to the Te Anau water control point and went on a hike. We met a hiker starting one of the great walks and watched up close a team of DOC workers heli-lift supplies from the bay campsite!

On the way back we ran into Natalie, someone we work with who is also spending her sabbatical in New Zealand! What are the odds!
