Today we’ biked from Hari Hari to Hokitika!

We continued to follow the “Westcoast Wilderness Trail” that runs from Ross to Hokitika. Today started with a little bit on quiet roads and then a single-track gravel cycleway. It was a really fun ride, without too much climbing.

We have started running into cicadas (or cicada like insects) that were excruciatingly loud on parts of the trail.

We are staying at a holiday park just before Hokitika. We dropped off our stuff and explored the town. There is a driftwood building competition on the beach this weekend, so we looked through that. We also picked up some groceries and did a short geocache “adventure lab”.

There wasn’t a ton of water at the holiday park, but we scraped by, having our showers and cooking dinner before it turned off!
