🚌 Transit Day

Traveling to New Zealand

We woke up this morning to see that our flight was already delayed 2 hours. This meant that we would miss our connecting flight to Queenstown and our bus to Invercargill.

Luckily we were able to change our flights to land us in Invercargill at roughly the same time the bus was going to arrive. 3 hops. JFK to Auckland, Auckland to Christchurch, and Christchurch to Invercargill.

After a day of prepping our apartment and waiting for Amazon packages that were just not going to arrive (Elise attempted to hunt down the truck), we ordered a car to the airport and shoved the bike boxes in.

We arrived quite early and our flight was delayed another hour, but we persuaded our way into the air France lounge and started to relax.

We are off! We’ve arrived at JFK, handed in our bike boxes and are ready to go! Our flight was delayed 2 hours, but now we are flying to Invercargill instead of Queenstown, which means no bus!
